Our company began its journey more than 20 years ago, in the heart of the Struma River valley near Kyustendil. The local natural conditions have been a gift for centuries, providing perfect conditions for agriculture.
So step by step, parcel by parcel, we started cultivating land that had once been fuel to many but was no longer being used for that purpose. Our goal was and still is, to bring life back to that land.
We started growing all kinds of vegetables, but we specialised in several fruits and vegetables over time, primarily focusing on potato production. Market changes and the invasion of big supermarkets make our slow, sustainable, and balanced growth impossible. This led to more investment to keep up with new markets' demands for quantity and quality.
After investing in new equipment and technology, we increased our production capacity and improved the quality of our produce. However, this came at a cost, both financially and environmentally. From the other end, our profits were being squeezed by the big retailers' pricing strategies. Despite these challenges, we remained committed to our values of sustainability and quality, we still explored new markets and distribution channels to reach consumers who shared our vision. It has been a challenging journey, but we are proud of what we have achieved and remain optimistic about the future of our farm.
